Mariano Mendez

Member of the Ik 'ta K'op Collective. He was born in the Maya Tseltal village of Abasolo, Chiapas. He was trained in the Intercultural Normal Bilingual Indigenous School "Jacinto Canek", as a primary teacher in the indigenous environment. Member of the Colectivo Ik 'Ta K'op, responsible for making WIFI links to take the Internet to remote areas where traditional operators do not access. Recently, they have also developed the Yaj'noptik Intranet and the creation of the Yitontik community radio.
