Allana is passionate about the intersection of law and healthcare, particularly in legal and policy frameworks that promote the right to health. At ISER, she heads the right to health program, which uses advocacy and targeted litigation to advance the right to health in Uganda. Allana received a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School and a Bachelors of Arts in Government from Wesleyan University, CT. At Yale, Allana was a Global Health Justice Student Fellow and a member of the Global Health Justice Practicum where she co authored a report advocating for access to Hepatitis C medication in low and middle-income countries, analyzing how patent law and TRIPS flexibilities could be used to increase access to medicines.
