"Daniel Mwesigwa is an ICT policy researcher at the Collaboration on International ICT Policy for East and Southern Africa (CIPESA). He focuses on the use of ICT tools to foster civic participation and social accountability. He regularly writes on contemporary issues on internet governance, innovation and entrepreneurship in sub-Saharan Africa on iAfrikan, a pan-African tech publication, and The Next Web (TNW). Further, he has participated in multiple trainings and fellowships in internet and media policy, internet governance, research methods for internet advocacy organized by institutions such as the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies at the University of Oxford, Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Pennsylvania, the Association for Progressive Communications, and LIRNEasia, among others."
